Staff Engineer- Traffic

Description:
Job responsibilities and duties include:Complete data collection, field reviews, traffic engineering analyses and conceptual design.Assist in the preparation or modification of reports, design plans, specifications, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and permits for projects.Work closely with Project Engineers to apply engineering conceptsDraft transmittals, memos, meeting minutes, proposals, and response letters.Develop and maintain organized project files.Assist in client contact and communication pertaining to specific engineering projects.Coordinate with technical staff to complete assigned engineering-based projects.Perform field reviews for projects within the region to collect a variety of field data.Conduct roadway safety audits and crosswalk evaluations to improve safety.This position has no direct reports and does not supervise any other personnel.Minimum requirements and special skills:Masters degree in Civil Engineering or any related field of study plus at least six (6) months of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained.Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with the following:1. HCS2. Synchro3. Data Analysis Software.5% domestic Travel; WFH as needed. Position is required to travel as needed to project-sites, including the Florida Dept. of Transportation (DOT) location.Multiple Openings.
