Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Manager, this position will supervise, plan and review the work of employees on the PM shift (3:30 pm-11:30 pm) of St. Anne's-Belfield Upper School campus, and will assist in other locations as needed. This position will also perform cleaning duties as part of a daily work routine. Essential Functions: Supervise housekeeping employees, and ensure that a high standard ismaintained on every shift Perform duties such as cleaning classrooms, floors , restrooms andhallways Operate cleaning equipment, use designated chemicals and other cleaningproducts safely and in accordance with instructions Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors Vacuum/shampoo carpets, rugs and upholstery Dust and polish furniture and fixtures Empty and clean trash containers Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner Clean bathrooms Clean windows Lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, standing for long periods of time, andtwisting are consistent throughout a work shift Other duties as assigned by the manager This is not intended to outline every detail of the position. It is a general summary. Essential Skills: Work safely in an environment containing chemicals, cleaning materials,dust, and noise Understand and carry out oral and written directions Ability to transport products and equipment from room to room Perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy items(up to 50 lbs. unassisted) Bending, standing, climbing, twisting and walking Professional attitude and demeanor Prompt and consistent reporting to work Education and experience: High School diploma preferred. Minimum: Three years janitorial/housekeeping experience Must have a valid driver's license and agree to a MVR check Must pass background checks
