Along with verdant greens and lush landscapes, Quail Lodge is home to Edgar’s, a farm-to-table restaurant that highlights fresh local produce and adheres to the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch guidelines of sustainability. Working alongside the amazing team at The Quail Lodge & Golf Club, we are seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to support our Golf department.* Work on a renowned golf course located in sunny Carmel Valley, California.* Learn and grow within a strong golf operation.* Exceptional medical benefits, Employee discounts on Lodge, Golf, and Dining services. Key Accountabilities* Supervises Outside Golf Guest Service Attendants * Act as a receptionist to all guests coming in and/or calling the golf shop* Assist with coordinating details of golf events (scorecards, proximities, pairings, rules sheet, scoreboard, etc.)* Reserve tee times for members and outside guests; collect payment for tee times and golf shop retail purchases using the Point-of-Sales system* Assist with the cleaning, inventory, and maintaining the golf shop's appearance and merchandise General Requirements* The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to maintain organization and a positive attitude* Minimum three years golf course experience* The ability to interact professionally with members and guests and deliver exceptional customer service* The ability to learn and efficiently work in a retail environment including use of a cash register Benefits We Offer * * 10 vacation days per year* 5 sick days per year* 1 personal day per year* 9 holidays days per year* Complimentary employee meals* Complimentary parking* Discounted and complimentary room nights at The Peninsula Hotels* 25% restaurant discount* 40% discount on retail* Complimentary use of golf course* 80% company-paid medical, dental and vision coverage* Complimentary life insurance* Complimentary long-term disability* Retirement plan with 5% company match Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
