Job Description _____________________________________________________________________ Position:Entry Assembly Technician Department:Assembly Shop Full:Time/Part:Time:Full Location:Okmulgee, OK FLSA:Non:Exempt Hrly. Reports to (Title):Assembly Shop Supervisor Job Code: KB02 Objective: : Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization. Essential Functions / Responsibilities: : Must be able to follow all verbal or written work instruction, operations, and procedures. : Have a good mechanical background, or aptitude. : Support plant safety policies and set a good example for others. : Actively demonstrate good housekeeping practices through the 5S methodology. : Ability to work effectively as a team member amongst other assemblers to accomplish monthly production goals in a safe, respectful, and timely manner. : Must be capable of recognizing irregularities, or malfunctions, with fit, form, function, or noticeable difference, to assembly parts an equipment, which require immediate notification to the Assembly Supervisor for further inspection and review. : Capable of taking initiative to constantly participate and seek new and innovative ways to perform jobs, or make recommendations that can initiate the changes in order to make the job better and more efficient. : Capable of taking responsibility with the completion of tasks with little to no supervision. : Must be capable of accomplishing job assignments on time, with a high standard of quality. Qualifications: : High School Diploma or GED recipient : Must be able to follow all written and verbal work instruction, operations and procedures. : Have the ability to use pneumatic tools and impacts. : Must be able to read and understand blueprints. : Support plant safety policies and set a good example for others. : Be able to recognize obvious irregularities in form, fit or function. : Basic computer skills required for the completion of time cards and production information as necessary in a computerized production management system. : Must actively demonstrate good housekeeping practices in the work area as well as the entire facility. : Must have the ability, knowledge and confidence to consistently meet or exceed the expec
