Bilingual Mental Health Social Worker wanted by community based provider of social svcs in Brooklyn, NY to provide wkly counseling, psychotherapy, case mgmt, advocacy svcs for Chinese/English speaking individuals, couples, families, groups in the Sunset Park neighborhood; Interview Chinese/English speaking clients on individual/family basis to assess their situations, capabilities & mental health problems; Determine reqd services, dvlp & implmt practical focused activities for Chinese/English speaking clients that foster adaptive functioning & dvlpmt of interpersonal & daily skills; Participate in planning for wkly casework dept meeting & lead at least 1 discussion/activity in the meeting; serve as a School-Based Liaison for Beacon prgms, facilitating collaboration between family counseling & school-based staff, promoting integrated service model & supporting planning for groups & events.Wage range from $69,368 - $69,615. Reqd: MS in Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or closely rltd & 6 mos of mental health counseling exp in the field. Foreign language reqmt (Mandarin Chinese). Valid license as Master in Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work or Mental Health Counseling for the State of NY reqd.
