The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and a background in partnership and energy tax matters.Duties:Conduct legal research and analysis on transactional tax matters, specifically on energy-related cases.Draft and review partnership agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.Provide legal advice and support on tax implications in energy-related transactions.Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop comprehensive legal strategies.Requirements:1-4 years of experience in a transactional tax practice.Prior experience in partnership matters, including drafting partnership agreements.Knowledge or experience in energy tax matters is advantageous.Strong academic credentials, with a preference for candidates with an LL.M. in taxation.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Preference for candidates with, or currently pursuing, an LL.M. in taxation.Certifications:Admission to the state bar in Oregon or eligibility for admission.Skills:Proficient in legal research and analysis.Excellent drafting and reviewing skills for legal documents, particularly partnership agreements.Strong understanding of transactional tax laws and regulations.Ability to collaborate effectively with legal teams and clients.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.This position offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated attorney to contribute to a dynamic law firm's tax and benefits practice, particularly in energy-related transactions. These matters include conventional power projects, state and federal energy regulations, sale and finance of renewable energy, utility mergers and acquisitions, reliability compliance, renewable source integration, and utility partnership tax. They also represent clients in various real estate development projects. Their staff strives to make a positive difference in their community.
