Credit and Collections Analyst VIAJP00000926 A leading digital streaming network is seeking a Credit and Collections Analyst. The successful candidate will r eview contracts for financial terms and compare to royalty statements, checking for compliance. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of relevant global licensing industry work experience. The company offers a great work environment! Credit and Collections Analyst Pay and Benefits: Hourly pay: $35/hr Worksite: Leading digital streaming network ( New York, NY 10036- Hybrid, 2 days Onsite (Tuesday and floating day) ) W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL 40 hours/week, 12 Month Assignment Credit and Collections Analyst Responsibilities: Principal Responsibilities – Royalty Compliance: Review contracts for financial terms and compare to royalty statements, checking for compliance. Tracing financials through a contract’s life cycle to identify and resolve discrepancies. Advise internal teams how to correct entry errors that prevent statement processing. Advise licensees how to resubmit statements that cannot be processed due to errors. Troubleshoot access issues when licensees are not able to access our system. Troubleshoot inquiries from Finance and offshore royalty reporting teams. Complete ad hoc special projects and provide reporting for management as needed. Principal Responsibilities – Cash Collections/Compliance: Reach out to licensees (customers) to collect/resolve open AR balances and royalty compliance issues. Maintain collection reason codes to accurately identify status of open receivables. Monitor cash expected from licenses to ensure they are received in a timely manner. Manage internal/ external ad-hoc requests as they relate to invoice account balances. Point person for all withholding tax certificates ensuring they are received and sent to our tax. Assist cash application team resolve unapplied payments. Provide support to Sales Team and Finance Dept. as needed. Play an active role during month end close. Credit and Collections Analyst Qualifications: 3-5 years of relevant global licensing industry work experience. B.A., B.S. in Business or Finance. Experience in operations finance, accounting, and operations management preferred. Strong understanding of General Accounting Principles (royalty accounting is a plus). Strong ability to trace an issue to find its root cause and final impact. Strong ability to understand and interpret contracts. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong time management and organizational skills. Proactive mindset with ability to provide creative solutions to complex problems. Detail-oriented with ability to see the big picture and work on cross-divisional projects with many stakeholders. Ability to multitask and manage diverse projects and assignments. Ability to work independently and collaboratively (i.e. leader as well as team player).
