The ideal candidate will have a background in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering. The candidate must be registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and possess a deep understanding of U.S. patent practice, with demonstrated experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications.Duties:Conducting thorough patent searches and analyses to assess the patentability of inventions.Drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO.Providing legal counsel on intellectual property matters, including patent infringement and validity opinions.Collaborating with inventors, clients, and colleagues to gather necessary information for patent prosecution.Responding to office actions and communicating with examiners to advocate for client's patent rights.Conducting due diligence reviews of intellectual property portfolios.Requirements:1-4 years of experience in patent prosecution.Undergraduate or advanced degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering.Registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.Familiarity with U.S. patent practice, including experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications.Education:Bachelor or advanced degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering.Certifications:Registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.Skills:Strong analytical and research skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Thorough understanding of patent laws and regulations.Proficiency in conducting patent searches and analyses.Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.Job Location:Herndon, VA
