At our Jackson Conagra Plant, we're putting together biscuit sandwiches and flatbread pockets that our customers love for any meal.We are hiring for a Custodian to help clean and maintain the common areas in our manufacturing facility that creates our delicious Sandwich Bros. and Odom's Tennessee Pride sandwiches. You will report to a Team Leader of Production and join a team of about 50. Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Location: 96 Pinnacle Dr, Jackson, TN 38301 Hourly Rate: $16.75 + $.50 shift differential Benefits Start Day One of Employment! What Impact Will You Have On Our Business? Food safety and cleanliness is crucial to our business, making your role supporting the cleanliness of our plant an important part of our daily operations to ensure standards are maintained You will be cleaning and maintaining common areas, which can include offices meeting rooms, restrooms and the break rooms. You will be sweeping and mopping the floor, vacuuming, operating the floor buffer, polishing door handles or tables and keeping an overall tidy environment. Trash, debris and recyclables will need to be collected and taken to the appropriate disposal area You may have outside work like cleaning debris from the sidewalks, grounds or roof You'll also need to keep your tools and cleaning products organized within storage areas You'll be expected to follow all safety regulations and ensure all General Manufacturing Practices and quality standards are met. Do You Have What It Takes: Minimum 3 months production or related experience Experience with damage/loss, plant safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and chemical awareness(MSDS) Overtime may be needed to ensure fulfill production demand This is a physical position. You will be asked to do things like climbing stairs, using your hands in freezer environment This is a manufacturing environment with large machinery and moving parts that can be noisy.
