The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and drafting plans for moderate and high-net-worth clients, managing probate and trust administrations, and meeting or exceeding minimum billable hours requirements. Superior analytical, communication, and drafting skills are essential, along with a Juris Doctorate and active membership in the California State Bar.Duties:Design and draft plans for moderate and high-net-worth clientsManage probate administrationsManage trust administrationsPlan for blended families, generation-skipping transfer tax planning, fiduciary income tax issues, and preparation of estate tax returns and gift tax returnsRequirements:5 years of recent experience designing plans for moderate and high-net-worth clients, probate, and trust administrationSuperior analytical, communication, drafting, writing, and research skillsJuris DoctorateAn active member of the California State BarExpertise in Federal tax law and California state tax law is strongly preferredLL.M. in Tax preferredPrior experience taking the lead role in client meetingsPrior experience managing client communications and expectationsProficiency in the California probate and trust administration processProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, document management, and legal practice management systemsAbility to effectively work with support staffClient management skills from intake through resolutionPositive attitude, intellectually curious, dependable, and motivatedSolid command of English, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and styleOrganized and detail-orientedAbility to set goals and mentor othersAbility to communicate clearly and work well with a team and individuallyEducation and Certifications:Juris DoctorateAn active member of the California State BarLL.M. in Tax preferredSkills:Superior analytical, communication, drafting, writing, and research skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, document management, and legal practice management systemsClient management skillsPositive attitude, intellectually curious, dependable, and motivatedOrganized and detail-orientedAbility to set goals and mentor othersAbility to communicate clearly and work well with a team and individually
