Our engineers have expert knowledge of the critical mission management systems and their deployment on various DOD, DHS, and other platforms. S3I is currently looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to support our US Navy contract. You will be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, orchestrating intricate systems that drive the success of missions critical to national security. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing software, hardware, and networks. The ideal candidate possesses prior experience supporting military mission management systems as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent years of experience, in Computer Science or other technical fields. This work requires a DOD Secret clearance. Candidates should possess an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one. Job Title : Closed Are Systems Administrator (On-Site) Work Schedule : Standard business hours Monday thru Friday Job Classification : Exempt Primary Location : Onsite in Hanover, MD with occasional travel as needed Salary Range : $90,000 to $110,000 depending on experience The Ideal Candidate Possesses: 5+ years demonstrated experience with RedHat Linux A strong background in systems administration Knowledge of windows system configuration and patching CISSP, Security+, or other DoD 8570 compliant training preferred Candidates must have good communication skills and work well in a collaborative team environment Duties will include: Comply with all DAAPM privileged user requirements Ensure closed area complies with all DCSA security requirements Perform RedHat and Windows patching and antivirus updates Perform regular security tests and security monitoring using standard tools like SCAP, Tenable, and others Upgrade, install, and configure software and computer hardware Assist with audit and system logging retention Work with other staff to build, configure and maintain classified testbench systems Considerations and Experience include: Functional Linux Troubleshooting Experience Knowledge of software development tools and techniques Strong software troubleshooting and evaluation skills Knowledge of DoD mission systems, sensors, communications and platforms Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or other technical field US Citizenship with the ability to get a DOD Secret Clearance (required) Previous Minotaur experience (strongly desired) S3I Engineering, LLC is a small business supporting the US Navy.
