ASGCO has an opening for an entry level Accounting Assistant in our Nazareth headquarters. We are seeking an organized, motivated, and collaborative professional to join our staff fulltime in the role of Accounting Assistant. This position will report directly to the Controller. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring company purchase orders are processed timely and accurately. We need a dependable professional with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail. The successful applicant will have working knowledge of automated purchasing practices and prior experience in a fast-paced, dynamic office environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Oversee purchase order entry process (includes assigning, entering, and printing purchase orders and associated paperwork)Ensure purchase orders are entered promptly and accuratelyObtain approval for requisition requestsCreate new vendor accounts in accounting systemComplete and submit credit applications, as necessaryProcess customer credit card paymentsFile and maintain office records for the CFO, Controller, and accounts receivable supervisorWork with and provide support to accounts payable supervisor and accounts receivable supervisorMaintain accurate records and filesOther job duties as assigned by managementMinimum Requirements: 1+ years prior office experience as an Accounting Assistant/Purchasing AssociateManufacturing industry experience is preferredAn associate or bachelor?s degree in accountingAccounts payable experience is a plusGood organizational, research, communication, and problem-solving skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeFamiliarity with automated purchasing systemsExperience with AS400Opportunities: ASGCO offers a competitive base salary with outstanding commission potential and a progressive benefits package, including 401(k) and company match*, college tuition plans, health care, as well as, an opportunity for professional growth.
