Position Overview Under the general supervision of and in collaboration with the Program Team Manager and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface General Hospital, the Perinatal Nurse is responsible for backssment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the health care needs of all high-risk or at-risk obstetrical patients seen on-site at St. Boniface General Hospital in the Fetal backssment Unit and through travel to remote satellite locations in support of the Manitoba Obstetrical Outreach Program. Experience Minimum two (2) years recent, related nursing experience in a high-risk perinatal unit required. Previous experience in a fetal backssment unit is preferred. Demonstrated research experience an asset. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Midwifery Program and Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Successful completion of the relevant portions of the Obstetrical Sonography Program through the Burwin Institute or recognized equivalent required.
