Description:
Position Summary: Our client, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join their team. The ideal candidate will work closely with Physical Therapists and other PTAs to provide rehabilitative care to patients, helping them regain movement and reduce pain. Key Responsibilities: Patient Counseling and Support: Counsel patients and their families on what to do following treatment. Assist patients when moving to and from the therapy area. Observation and Reporting: Observe patients before, during, and after therapy sessions. Report notes and observations to the Physical Therapist to assist in patient care planning. Exercise and Equipment Assistance: Assign specific exercises for patients and help them perform these exercises. Use devices, such as walkers, and other equipment to aid patients in regaining movement and reducing pain. Therapeutic Techniques: Use a variety of techniques, including stretching exercises and massage, to treat patients. Qualifications: At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to observe and report patient progress effectively. Familiarity with physical therapy equipment and techniques. Physical capability to assist patients with movement and exercises.
