At voco Grand Central Hotel, we have an exciting opening to join our team as a Meetings Host… We are looking for someone who can commit to Full-Time, across 5 shifts per week. This role is typically Monday to Friday (various shift patterns, 7am start at the earliest) with occasional weekend availability required. Being flexible would be a great plus! We are open 7 days a week 365 days a year and need people to work a range of shifts and days. At voco Hotels we are reliably different, the trusted name above the door but with a distinctive character. We believe that everyone is a host and are looking for someone who can help us create memorable experiences for our guests. We are paying £10.90 per hour, all hours worked paid for. As a Meetings Host your main duties and responsibilities will be the running and operation of the small meetings and events that occur daily across our multiple meeting rooms. You will be responsible for liaising directly with the organisers to ensure the smooth and optimal running of each meeting and event. To thrive in this role, the key skills & experience you’ll ideally already have are: Experience working within Hospitality or a similar customer-facing environment Excellent communication, organisation and planning skills (you will be working closely with organisers to ensure we are providing a smooth operation from start to finish) A positive attitude, willing to work within a large team and help out each other when needed Confident in working independently as well as occasionally leading a small team (experience within leadership is desirable) Willing to learn new things and work as part of our wider Hotel team!
