HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER The Fred Douglas Society is a not-for-profit charitable organization and a leader in seniors care, housing, programs, and services, consisting of a Personal Care Home, Independent Living, Supportive Housing and Life Lease Apartments. Fred Douglas Society is seeking an experienced human resource professional to fill the role of Human Resources Manager. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer of Fred Douglas Society (FDS) and as an integral member of the FDS Leadership Team, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for the HR function to ensure efficient and effective execution /operations of processes and systems related to recruitment and retention, employee relations; employee benefits and payroll; HR planning and operations; and special HR projects. The HR Manager will provide guidance and support on various aspects of labour and employee relations, employee engagement, employee development, health and safety programs and associated HR initiatives. Qualifications Post Secondary education in Human Resource Management or related field and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a health care environment. CPHR designation or in process preferred. Other combinations of education and certification may be considered. Key Responsibilities: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the HR function to ensure efficient and effective execution /operations of processes and systems related to recruitment and retention, employee relations; employee benefits and payroll; HR planning and operations; and special HR projects.
