Finance Officer – Hospitality Business Role: Finance Officer Location: Hatfield 3 days in the office, 2 from home Salary: Up to £35,000My client is an exciting food and coffee concept who is passionate about delivering a premium product with a big focus on ethical and sustainable practices. They have built a fantastic reputation in the market and are quickly becoming a go-to business to partner with. You will have some kind of experience in hospitality, a good eye for detail and a high level of accuracy. Discipline and integrity are a must together with the ability to work well under pressure, hospitality experience is a plus but not essential. You will also ensure adequate and appropriate financial controls, processes and procedures exist in respect of day-to-day financial functions, whilst assisting with the year-end audit. Job Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts for Sites including P&L’s variance analysis and commentaries. Assist with the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Prepare and deliver on all key weekly objectives ensuring OKRs are met. Prepare and deliver the month-end closing processes ensuring all relevant month-end journals – accruals, prepayments, stock, depreciation, and deferred revenue are accurately recorded. Assist with budgeting and forecasting. Posting ad hoc supplier invoices to Sage 200 which fall outside of our monthly payment run. Setting up weekly payments in the bank ACH/priority/international for approval Managing rent invoices and ensuring timely quarterly payment Managing the company credit card statements, and posting expenses. Supplier statement reconciliations Posting monthly accruals The successful candidate: Part Qualified Accountant or equivalent e. g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA, AAT. XERO knowledge is essential.
