Caretaker : General Maintenance Person Location: Icanho, Stowmarket Hours: 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday Salary: A GBP 10.70 : A GBP 12.56 per hour Our client is the charity thats committed to enabling people with disabilities to live the life they want to lead. They work to change what is unlivable, helping people to tackle the barriers they face and create a livable life. The Role The purpose: built specialist rehabilitation centre in Stowmarket is looking for a part: time caretaker/general maintenance person to join their small and friendly team. The Icanho service, which operates during the day Monday to Friday, provides specialist rehabilitation to brain injury clients living in the community. The role will be responsible for performing general care taking duties which include general maintenance and repairs, carrying out routine health and safety inspection checks and supervision of contractors on site. You will also be responsible for supervision of the cleaning staff. The role will usually work mornings and as a designated key holder, the organisation are looking for someone who can start work each day at 8.00am to open the building. Standard working pattern to be agreed with individual but ideally you can work contracted hours flexibly when service needs require such as supervision of any planned contractors on site etc. They are looking for someone with relevant working experience and with good general maintenance / DIY knowledge and skills and who can work independently within their role and also within a wider team.
