Job Description Duration: 8 months Positions available: 1 Intake Date: Monday, May 6, 2024 Application Deadline: Monday, January 15, 2024 (we will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis) Minimum Qualifications: Must currently be enrolled in a recognized and accredited Canadian post-secondary institution throughout the duration of the co-op term. You must also be returning to a post-secondary institution after the co-op term is completed. Depending on the needs and location of the team, you will need to work PST or MDT or relocate to a specific office (Vancouver or site-based) Desired Background: For this position we are specifically targeting students who have a background in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Responsibilities Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Working with a team developing asset management strategies for asset classes and systems Analyze operational data and equipment performance history, evaluating production losses, failure rates, root cause analysis, regulatory compliance, and the maintenance costs of equipment and processes, to identify key opportunities to minimize the risks that could adversely affect business operations Generate solutions by applying various analysis such as data analysis techniques, failure modes, risk analysis and effects analysis to optimize cost, risk and performance of assets Work with project engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations, applying maintainability reviews, reliability block modelling and spare parts analyses where appropriate Liaise with trades and operators to understand how a piece of equipment failed and recommend actions to prevent recurrence of the failures Build and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve the way we do business Qualifications.
