Position Overview Under the direction of the Infection Prevention and Control (IP&C) Program Director and working within the Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Direction of the WRHA, the Infection Control Professional Clinical Team Leader performs all duties and functions outlined in the Infection Control Professional position description. In addition to the responsibilities outlined in the Infection Control Professional position description, the Infection Control Professional Clinical Team Leader is also responsible for: Overseeing the daily Infection Prevention and Control clinical service delivery and environment/ operational issues in a designated team to ensure optimum patient safety. Providing guidance to Infection Prevention and Control staff within the designated team through clinical leadership, mentoring, supervision, education, evaluation and research. Contributing to the delivery of quality Infection Prevention and Control services by examining, developing, refining and evaluating the body of knowledge and clinical practices and assisting in program planning, development and evaluation.
