Penick Village Inc. A Life Plan Community has an opening for a Registered Dietitian . Primary Responsibility: The Registered Dietitian advises and counsels residents, staff and family members on food and nutrition. The Registered Dietitian is responsible for the initial and ongoing clinical assessments to provide medical nutrition therapy to residents in our healthcare setting. Works closely with the Kitchen & Dining Room Manager to assure a quality dining experience is achieved through oversight of the meal tracking and delivery system. As part of an interdependent team of skilled and caring people, the Registered Dietitian must act in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern Penick Village to ensure that the highest quality of resident care and safety is maintained at all times. An ideal candidate to fill the Registered Dietitian position will meet or exceed the following qualifications: A BS in Nutrition or related field. Minimum four-years of experience with at least two years in long term care preferred Licensed as a Registered Dietician in compliance with requirements of the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and the North Carolina Board of Dietetics/Nutrition (NCBDN).
