Job Summary: Under general supervision, performs a variety of professional accounting work related to IFRS 17; compiles, prepares, and maintains financial data and records, ensuring that all financial data is recorded in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and consistent with established company and department policies, accounting procedures and Sarbanes Oxley compliance. Responsibilities: · Performs technical accounting work in accordance with accounting system and IFRS 17 accounting standards. · Prepare IFRS 17 journal entries and accounting corrections to ensure accurate accounting records. · Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes in accordance with company deadlines. · Transform EDW reports to align with IFRS 17 data requirement. · Assist in the preparation, analysis, and review of IFRS 17 balances from MRI. · Analyze and verify financial IFRS 17 reports and statements. · Assists with the preparation of the P&C. · Organizes, directs, and controls the retention of historical accounting and legal records, ensuring that all information is safely stored and available on short notice. · Assist in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines. · Assist in any other area as and when required.
