Our department seeks to uphold andstrengthen its position as a preeminent leader in education and research, and to continue to develop sustainable solutions for the global communityacross the spectrum from mineral engineering to urban infrastructure. YOUR OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Department Chair and working as an integral part of the Department’s senior management team, the Director, Student Services and External Relations will assume full managerial authority to develop strategic direction and structure in several key areas: recruitment, program admissions, scholarships and awards, financial aid, student records and registration, instructor support, student academic success and advising, extra- and co-curricular skills development, student engagement, student leadership development, and external/alumni liaison including strategic communications and public relations and all initiatives aimed at strengthening the overall relationship with students to ensure a positive reflection and commitment to the Department upon graduation. The role will manage all functions related to human resource management of the Student Services and External Relations team including organizational design, assignment of work, as well as the hiring, performance management and professional development of staff.
